Though flowering plants always grab attention in a garden, ornamentals can be used to fill the gaps and provide the required contrasts in a wider canvas. Some have leaves that are so colorful and pretty that they sometimes outshine the blooms from other plants. Most of them are hardy when compared to flowering plants and do not require the constant attention that they thrive in.
